1.0 Life Path And Destiny Evaluations

Your Life Path
Your Life Path (sometimes called Destiny) is derived from your birth date. Your Life path is the road you are traveling. It reveals the opportunities and challenges you will face in life. Your Life Path number is the single most important information available in your Personality Chart!

We often think of the Life Path as a 'seed' that is planted on the day of birth. Your accumulated wisdom lies within it. Perhaps you could call this your 'heritage'. It is much like a record that you can rely on for tapping into your innate talents and abilities. As you become aware of this part of our nature, life seems to become more simple. If more parents understood their children's Life Path, it would be much easier to provide direction and help to build confidence.

Some Numerology systems call this part of your nature the Birth Force or Birth Path. No matter what you call it, its meaning remains the same. It is what you will always have on hand. Your Life Path is one of your greatest assets. You can always count on this part of your nature to be there for you.

Also, we often find that the Life Path qualities often appear as opportunities, challenges, and lessons. We are learning how to embrace the qualities of the Life path in a balanced way.

Your Life Cycles
One of the Key Cyclic Vibrations is known as the Life Path Periods or Cycles. Do not confuse this term with the core Life Path number. Instead these are Life Path Periods which are experienced in three stages throughout life and represent a broader range of influence than the other Key Cyclic Vibrations. Their presence brings a rather global influence and effects our individual natures in a less specific way. Whatever Life Path Period a person is in, they can learn from what the energies present and have to offer. Their influence helps to develop the character of the number within the person.

Period Cycles last 27 years or more. The minimum time-span is always at least 3 full epi-cycles of 9 years, but they can be even longer. The Period Cycles form the base structure of all the cycles found in your chart.

Like most stories, there are three great divisions of our lives: the First, or opening period, finds us groping to find our true nature; at the same time, we are trying to cope with the powerful forces that are present in our environment, our parents and the socio-economic conditions of our family, for example. The Second Cycle, or middle period of our lives, brings about the slow emergence of our individual and creative talents. The initial part of this cycle - the early and mid 30s - represents a struggle to find our place in the world, while the late 30s, 40s, and early 50s, sees us with a greater degree of self-mastery and influence over the environment. The Third, or final Cycle, can represent a flowering of our inner being, such that our true nature has finally come to fruition. It is during this period that one has the greatest degree of self-expression and power.

It is possible to repeat a Period Cycle.
The ages that Period Cycles influence you vary from person to person based on the Life Path number. This effects what your start and end age of each Period Cycle will be.

Your First Period Cycle is based on your Month of birth, and covers the early part of your life. However, during childhood, the affect is minimal due to the many outside influences. Therefore, it typically applies mainly to your late teens until the Second Period Cycle starts.
Your Second Period Cycle is based on the Day of your birth and affects you during the middle part of your life.
Your Third Period Cycle is based on the Year of your birth and affects you during the later part of your life.

Your Sun Number
Your Sun number is intended to describe your personality traits on a basic level. Based on the day and month you were born, your Sun Number is represented by a single-digit number, 1 - 9.

More importantly it describes your personality traits and those of similar Sun Numbers at a high and simplified level. By looking at the combined numbers of the day and month of birth, Numerology deduces the first pattern of your existence -- the day you entered this world.

The Sun Number is considered the first and less detailed pattern of who you are. Obviously, the world is made up millions and billions of unique individuals. However, the Sun Number brings our high-level characters and categorizes them into 9 groups. As you provide more and more details of the day of your birth and your name, you uncover the underpinnings of what makes you, not just a Sun Number, but a truly unique and complex person.

Within the dynamic environment of personal and universal cycles affecting you in different ways, constantly bringing change and sometimes chaos, your Sun Number is your anchor. Think of it as the location where you stand, while everything around you is in motion. Your Sun Number also reveals how you approach the changing cycles and how they tend to influence you. For example, if your Sun Number is 1, you tend to take opportunities and challenges head on. You don't hesitate, you don't back down, and you generally don't ask for help. On the other hand, if your Sun Number is 2, you tend to deal with changing circumstances by carefully weighing the pros and cons, asking others for their opinions, and then, when you are ready, you take the necessary steps.

Keep in mind that, as with all numbers found in your Numerology chart, the influence is limited to the area that they affect. The Sun Number tends to dominate only your attitude toward changes, especially when they are unexpected. Just like knowing you have a predisposition toward anything in life, knowing your Sun Number can help make sense of why you make the choices you make and feel the way you feel.

Your Pinnacle Cycles
The Pinnacles are four long-term cycles, or periods, on our Life Path. Each Pinnacle represents a particular lesson we are working on. The first Pinnacle usually lasts from birth to between the ages of 30 and 35 (as with the Period Cycles, the duration depends on your Life Path number). The middle two Pinnacles each last nine years. The last Pinnacle will stay with you for the remainder of your life.

The Pinnacles are very important. The transition from one Pinnacle to the next is always strongly felt. Your Pinnacles reveal the general conditions and events you will experience during the period. The Pinnacle describes the atmosphere, or the essential challenge you will be faced with.

You can prepare yourself for the times ahead by knowing your approaching Pinnacle number.

The transition from one Pinnacle to the next is usually prepared for approximately 2 years in advance. The latter part of that two year period is particularly strong. You will likely make some life-altering decisions - marriage, job or career change, or any number of major changes in your character.

Perhaps the most strongly felt change - internally as well as externally - is the transition from the first to the second Pinnacle. This change usually takes place in your late 20s or early 30s - the exact date depends on your Life Path number. You begin to feel the impact of this coming change approximately two years prior. This is usually a difficult transition, but once crossed usually provides a clear sense of direction in one's life. It also gives you a much firmer sense of your identity. It is a gateway to maturity.

It is possible to repeat a Pinnacle Cycle.

The ages that Pinnacle Cycles influence you vary from person to person based on the Life Path number. Your First Pinnacle Cycle number is the sum of your month and day of birth. Your Second Pinnacle Cycle number is the sum of your day and year of birth. Your Third Pinnacle Cycle number is the sum of your First and Second Pinnacle Cycle Numbers and your Fourth and final Pinnacle Cycle number is the sum of your month and year of birth

Your Karmic Debt
There is a theory in Numerology that a few numbers bring qualities along with them that suggest karmic, or unfinished, business. It may be that we choose to create lessons in these areas to round out our natures. Another possibility is that we want to develop qualities that were somewhat void in the past. Either way, Karmic Numbers can feel a bit more challenging than others. If you have a Karmic Number as one of your Core Elements, you may experience the number as over-balanced or under-balanced before experiencing a fully balanced and accessible energy.

So, during our life path, we have accumulated a wealth of wisdom, and have made many good choices that benefit us in future. We have also made mistakes, and have sometimes abused the gifts we have been given. To rectify such errors, we may take on an additional burden in order to learn a particular lesson that we failed to learn in previous times. In numerology, this burden is called a Karmic Debt.

The numbers that indicate a Karmic Debt are 13, 14, 16, and 19. These double-digit numbers take on great significance when they are found in the core numbers (the most important numbers including the Life Path, Expression, Heart's Desire (or Soul Urge), Personality, and Birth Day), and in the various cycles during the course of your lifetime. Each has its own unique characteristics, and its own particular difficulties.

When you are calculating your chart — especially you core numbers and different cycles — you may encounter the numbers 1, 4, 5, or 7. These single-digit numbers can be arrived at by adding a variety of two-digit numbers. The number 1 can be arrived at, for example, by combining the double-digit numbers of 10 (1 + 0 = 1), 19, 28, 37, 46 — all of which total to 10, and then to 1. However, only in the case of 19 is a Karmic Debt indicated. Karmic Debts are also associated with the numbers 4, 5, and 7. These numbers can be preceded by an array of two-digit numbers, but when the 4 is preceded by a 13; or when the 5 is preceded by a 14; or the 7 by a 16; a Karmic Debt is also read as part of the single-digit interpretation.

A Karmic Debt can be found in different places in the chart as a result of totals based on your date of birth, for instance, or calculations based on the letters of your name. This means that two people with a 16 Karmic Debt that is located in different places in the chart, express it very differently. Thus, all that can be done is to lay out the general characteristics of the Karmic Debt, and some broad guidelines for dealing with it.

Look for these Karmic Numbers in your Core Elements. Reflect on the area of your life that the Core Element represents and note where you may find confusion from the Karmic Number that is present there.

Your Life Challenges
Each of us is born with both strengths and weaknesses. Numerology looks at life as if it were an educational process that is meant to bring out and enhance our talents, and turn our weaknesses into strengths. This serves to complete our being.
The job of becoming whole is one in which we must face our weaknesses and consciously work to improve ourselves. There are four Challenges to be faced during our lives. For many of us, the same challenge is repeated, while others have four distinctly different lessons to learn.

The Challenges on your life's path provide specific lessons that you must attend to, and, in order to inspire and help you, life will place you in situations that require the specific characteristics of your Challenge numbers.
The four Challenges you are required to overcome during the course of this lifetime will influence you during different periods of your life, except for the Third or Main Challenge, which lasts from birth until death.

The Challenges are fluid periods of your life, not confined to specific years so much as general periods. All of your Challenges are present at birth, like actors standing in the wings. Most of us overcome our Challenges at least to some extend, if not entirely.
The duration of the First Challenge usually lasts from birth until approximately the age of 30 to 35.
The Second Challenge most strongly influences you during the middle part of your life until about age 55 to 60.
The Third Challenge is also called your Main Challenge and is felt throughout life. The Fourth and Final Challenge starts around age 60 to 65.

The ages that Challenge Cycles influence you vary from person to person based on the Life Path number. When calculating the ages, Master Life Path numbers are reduced to their single digit value. Normally, they are not reduced.

Challenges are one of the few areas in numerology where we deduct numbers!
Because we subtract, a result of 0 (zero) is possible.
It is also quite common to have a Challenge repeat more than once.

The Challenges are Key Cyclic Vibrations and run concurrently with the Pinnacles. With the Pinnacles we see the road ahead. We can attain a good idea of where the road is headed. The Challenges represent the twists, turns and potholes in the path along the way. The Challenges and Pinnacles go hand in hand. Once you determine the current Pinnacle, always look toward the Challenge to discover what else there is to learn.

Your Personal Numbers
Everything in our world and beyond is cyclical. Thus, we human beings are just as well. In Numerology, our cycles are composed of nine years, 1 being the beginning and 9 the end. Through one cycle there are years where everything runs smoothly and others it can be quite frustrating. Integrating and understanding these cycles can only bring peace and harmony in our lives, consequently, evolution of self and prosperity.

In Numerology we identify the years of our cycle as Personal Years. Each and every personal year has its own characteristics and specific energy. To properly understand the cycles of life, you can compare them to the cycles of cultivation of the land. Year 1 being the planting of the seeds of life, the subsequent years unfold naturally and can be compared to the growing of the crops with all this encompasses.

The Birth Path Number always stays the same. However, Personal Year Numbers numbers are associated with each year following birth. They represent the kind of vibration that rules a particular year, a period that runs from one birthday to the next, not from January 1st to December 31st- unless of course you were born on one of these dates. It is important to note that, to determine the current year, our birthday must already have passed within the specific year we find ourselves in since we change cycles on our birthday.

Just as people evolve through a nine-year cycle, they also experiences nine-month cycles, even though their impact is subtle compared to the Personal Year cycle. The Personal Month cycles proceed according to the same pattern - 1 through 9 - that the Personal Year cycle does. The numbers within the monthly cycles have a similar, though less pronounced, impact on a person than the yearly cycle has.

The meanings of the Personal Month Numbers are essentially the same as those for the Personal Year Numbers, except that we are dealing with a shorter period of time--a month--instead of a year. The monthly influence is important because it is a short cycle and tends to change things for you every month.

Just as we evolve through a nine-year cycle, a nine-month cycle, so, too, do we experience nine-day cycles. Within the nine-year-cycles there are nine-month-cycles, and within the nine-month-cycles there are nine-day-cycles. Each Personal Day describes the influences of any particular day and, like Personal Months, they should be interpreted in the context of the Personal Month.

We see now that there are 3 numbers which dictate the theme of our daily lives which are based on the number of the year, month and day. Each must be taken into account when understanding what to expect from the flow and rhythm of your life on any particular day.

The most important number which has the strongest influence thoughout any year in your life is your Personal Year Number. This number dictates the main theme of the year that your life will lead. Significant changes, challenges and obstacles in life will be dictated by this number throughout the year.

The next number in influence is of course the Personal Month Number. This number, in conjunction with the Personal Year Number, will dictate the ebb and flow of activities within your year. For example a 7 Personal Month in a 1 Personal Year would suggest that even though this would be a year of new beginnings and high expectations this month will, and should, be treated as the quiet month within this year. A time for rest and reflection, a time to think before leaping into new ventures.

Finally the Personal Day Number dictates the ebb and flow of our lives on a day to day basis. Even though it is the least significant of the 3 numbers it has the power of dictating the timing of events. A 9 Personal Day would be a day to end a relationship, or a job. A 5 Personal Day would be a good day to expect the unexpected or travel somewhere, escape the normal daily routines.

Since the personal years/months/days operate in cycles of 9, we don’t have to consider the master numbers 11, 22 etc. separately.
